a very very short story

Finn's deep chocolate eyes peered into mine. I couldn't help but look away. He cupped my chin in his strong hand and brought my gaze to meet his.
"Baby, don't worry. You won't get hurt," he said, trying to reassure me that it would be okay.
"You promise?"
"Of course, don't you trust me?"
"Yeah, but it's my first time...," I trailed off.
"I promise, you'll be okay."
Finn leaned in to close the small gap between our faces. His lips gently pressed onto mine, and I smiled through our kiss, which was far too short for my taste. I pulled him close again.
"Babe"
"Yeah?" I answered, giggling and about to kiss him again.
"It's almost our turn," he said. My heart froze, and I couldn't move.
"It's okay, Heather." Finn continued,"roller coasters aren't that scary."
